Senate Tables Amendment on Civilian Contractors

The Senate voted today 55-43 to table an amendment offered by Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) that would have limited the use of civilian contractors for certain DoD activities. Democrats Miller (GA), Nelson (FL) and Rockefeller (WV) joined all Republicans in voting to table. Not voting were Dems Bingaman (NM), Edwards (NC) and Kerry (MA). Check out the roll call.
